Event Description

So sorry but we are going to cancel it.  There were 18 RSVPs but only 14 bought tickets.

This private class will stimulate your taste buds and brain cells alike.  It will begin with a mystery wine, served as soon as you arrive. You and your co-mingling YPs will use what you know to guess what variety of grapes were utilized.  Everyone will then grab a seat, the answer will be revealed, and the fun, interactive lesson on how to analyze a glass of wine will begin.  Expect to taste 5 wines, mingle with 30 local YPs, and to receive a 30 minute, stimulating lesson.  At the end of the evening all will optionally buy wine before heading to a nearby BYOB restaurant for dinner and/or dessert.

I don't think it is expensive, because I have paid that without any instruction, but they actually aren't really giving us a discount. They just shortened the lesson. If they poured the most expensive wines, a 30 min pro-rated lesson is $20 and with the cheapest wines it's $10. So getting anything less than the most expensive wines is really the price of receiving a shorter lesson.

Do you happen to know the class of wines they will be serving?

so cool that they do a class on this. i know nothing about wine. Hardly ever drink it because of that fact :-) i'm excited to learn!!

Ok fair enough. I didn't realize that their classes were $30-60. Wow.

It's because it is a class... not just poured wine.  AND they are giving us a big discount, http://www.amantivino.com/articles/page?article_id=1455

Maybe it's just me, but $20 is a bit much for just a tasting event.
