New Jersey Young Professionals

Get out. Make friends. Meet people in NJ.

Since the event in January never happened, I wanted to revive this thread. Can we try for either February 10, 17 or 24th (all Wednesdays)?

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me some Wednesday at the Glassworks Studio on South St., Morristown. They're open Wednesdays 7-10pm and it's 15% off all projects. There's no skill level needed, just some creativity. They provide the tools, goggles, and show you how to either cut or snap the small glass pieces into whatever design you want. You can choose whatever project based on your budget. My trivet was only $10 and $5 studio fee.

Here's my first attempt last March. It's a tree on pot trivet. I've been itching to go back! I was having issues attaching the pic so see link: http://photos-sf2p.fbcdn.net/v195/221/89/31701792/n31701792_3284108... Here's their website: http://www.umakeglass.com

I will go with you. I am always up for trying new things. I remember seeing an ad for Glassworks Studio and thinking it looked like fun.

Sounds like fun! And I love your piece. Let me know if you come up with a date to go.

Would love to go. Glass, torch, fire... what could go wrong? Count me in when you set a date!

No no...they fuse the glass for you, so no worries over firing. Not sure how December is looking for everyone else but the 9th works. Or we can pick a Wednesday in January.

The 9th is fine with me, but January works also.

This looks really neat! I would definitely be interested. The 9th would work for me as well - plus great timing for a Christmas present!

It starts at 7, so around then. I'm open to starting later. I forgot to also mention that you have to come pick up your project a couple days after. So unfortunately it won't be ready that night.

So it's tentatively scheduled for Wed Dec 9 at 7PM? I'll add it to my calendar
