New Jersey Young Professionals

Get out. Make friends. Meet people in NJ.

When it comes to trying new cuisines, I will be the first one to raise my fork or spoon. I'm sure there are others out there. Since moving back to my hometown, I want to check out all the best restaurants and cafes around me. It's my take on "HAPPY HOUR" and you know what, at least I feel full at the end and satisfied.

I want to know if anyone else would like to join me and trying other places. I have a few places, I am going to go to soon, Mikado's in Wayne, NJ being one of them. Let me know.

Thanks.

Please let me know when you go. I live about five minutes from there, and I haven't tried it since it became Mikado.

I also enjoy going out to eat at "different" places - from off-the-wall counters to formal dining.

Haven't been to Mikado's on Rt 23 in a while - that location has changed hands many times over the years. I'm up for checking it out.

Hey all,

I checked out Mikado on Sunday and on a scale from 1 to 5...5 being the best, it was 3.5. I got there by 1230-1pm. Our table was enclosed room which was pretty cool. They had a variety of food: sushi, sashimi, fried entrees, and salads. I really like the ample fruit and dessert part. I just wish the "food room" was bigger. I mean the place from the outside looks huge but when we went inside, it seemed small.

Overall, I might go back there again...

Hello Jahnavi,

I know your post is over a month old, but I just saw your post. I will venture just about anywhere to try different cusines and it would be great to have more partner in crimes to try food with.

My lastest destinations were Mesob in Montclair. Great Ethopien food, http://www.mesobrestaurant.com. The other was Taqueria in Jersey City, getting a seat at this place is like the "soup Nazi of taco" but their catus taco is so flavorful and fresh.

I have eaten Moracon food before, but haven't tried Marakesh in Parsipanny. I have heard it is great. http://www.marakesh.com/

Hopefully we can try a new venture soon.

Adrienne
