Hi all! Some of you may remember, I posted something like this last year but was unable to follow through at that time. However, I now have tons of free time and would like to dedicate it to starting up a singing chorus/club. I've already made some arrangements to get this going. The chorus is called the PAL Singers (Professionals At Large).
For those of you who don't know, I had an idea about creating a chorus/club aimed for the "young professional" age group of 21-39 since non of them exist as far as I know. It would be both a chorus where we would practice songs and perform (mostly at nursing homes and places of that nature) and also a club to promote art appreciation in the community through fundraising and local art events. Expect a fun, casual and non-competitive atmosphere! No auditions or anything like that.
Meetings and practice will ideally take place twice a month in Monmouth County at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters conference rooms in Manalapan, NJ. (125 Symmes Road, Manalapan, NJ) A set time and date will later be determined.
If this sparks your interest, our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 7pm where more information and ideas will be given about the club. I'd also appreciate your ideas! I already have 5 people who will be attending. Please respond or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know if you plan on attending or are interested! :)
