German Speakers

Guten Tag, I have spent three years in Germany and I have been back now for over a year. I am finding that my German is getting a little rusty, though it was never perfect.

I would like to form a German Stammtisch in North Jersey for those who are in a similar situation as myself. I feel it will be a great opportunity to keep up your German skills and hopefully, (in my case) improve on them. If you are interested please reply to this forum and lets set a date for our first Stammtisch. Looking forward to meeting with you.

I am a native German speaker and would definitely be up for a German Stammtisch, Happy Hour...

Timo, I haven't been able to find anyone interested and I am actually suprised you still found this. I really thought it was buried pretty quick with other post. Do you know of anyone else that would be interested? I am sure you get all kinds of people wanting to practice their german with you. Hopefully we can plan something soon or at the latest some time in Jan.

So far nobody from NJYP approached me to practice German. :-/

There is a NJ German language group on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/301740761494/), and there is a "Deutscher Club" in Clark, NJ (http://www.deutscherclub.us/).

I don't know how many NJYP members actually read the forum. Maybe we can ask Laura to organize a German speaker happy hour. Then everybody would hear about it.
