Get out. Make friends. Meet people in NJ.
A few of you may already know that I have been training to run in the NYC marathon on November 7th. This year, I have a decided to run the marathon on behalf of Fred's Team, an organization that raises funds for cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
I've decided to run to raise money for Fred's Team because both my father and my sister recently succombed to cancer, and despite the great loss, I'd like something positive to come from my experiences. That's why I have been campaigning to raise funds for my run and awareness for Fred's Team.
I've set up a site at http://www.runsteve.com/ to explain to people why I am doing what I'm doing, as well as a way for people to sponsor if they want to.
My cause has been featured on the West Orange Patch (a local news website), highlighting my story: http://westorange.patch.com/articles/the-big-c
We've also set up a Facebook fan page for the run, so take the time to like it and share it with your friends!
It'll only take a few seconds or so to share these pages with your friends, and that's exactly what I need from people to help out!
I donated what I could right now..Good luck!!
