Hello All - I currently live in Morris County and I am curious if anyone is interested in Kayaking on various lakes in the area. I usually go once on a weekday night from 7 - 10ish (kayaking at night is very peaceful) and on the weekends if weather and time permits. All the kayaking is on flat water so beginners are welcome and I don't mind showing anyone the ropes. :)

Hey Chris. I'm definetly interested. I don't have much experience other than kayaking on the DE river a couple of times. Been wanting to get into it more, but I have not been able to find the people to go with. I work in Parsippany so a weekday night would work out well. However, I do not have any equipment other than a life vest. If you know of a place where I can rent one, that would be great. Thanks
I'd be interested too, depending on when and where. :)
I love kayaking! I'm game as long as I can find out where to rent equipment.
I am interested and could borrow a kayak from my family but it won't fit on my passat. I have been kayaking in various lakes in sussex county.
Hi Chris...

OMG!!! I just love your photograph. Having the Kayak off center not only adds color but also a nice composition in the water. This piece looks like a postcard.... it's proof that you were there. I know, exactly where the photograph took place. Isn't it by the Mill that was burnt down and next to it was the new building. Oh and a few more buildings on the land. I use to belong to Wayne Art Association. So I have a photograph framed that was from the old burnt down Mill.

Now the Kayaking... I researched the web for images on kayaking and canoeing. What gives?? They seem to both show a difference of calm or rapid waters. And to my knowledge- canoeing is like a boat. But Kayaking is sucked into a hole and being flipped over in the water?

I have done Canoeing in "CALM" waters in Vermont at my family's timeshare. So being at this place that you are displaying... I believe I can handle your activity... and I wouldn't mind trying it out. I can't knock it until I try it. I take before and after pictures... LOl. i don't have an underwater camera.
Hi, I am new to this website. I just recently moved to NJ...
This looks interesting and would like to learn but I don't own a kayak...
Hello All-
I did some research and I found a local dealer who rents kayaks. They are located in Madison, NJ and their website is http://www.brmsstore.com/ . I can probably tie another kayak to my rack if anyone wanted to carpool. For those of you that don't have a rack, I am pretty sure you can also rent them from Blue Ridge Mountain. The other option is I can try to arrange a guide service for the day and they can supply you with kayaks and will set you up with all the essentials.

I will be paddling Friday or Saturday at either Monksville Reservoir in Ringwood or Lake Hopatcong so please let me know if you are interested :)
Hi Chris,
I am new to NJYP and just saw your forum about Kayacking. I went once Kayacking with a camp that i used to be a camp counselor at and it was on the hudson river. I would love to try Kayacking again and was wondering if you are going anytime soon.
