Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had some fun date ideas for the Monmouth and Ocean County areas?

Thanks! :)

Hi Marisa,

The possibilities are truly endless in our area, but here are a few cool suggestions:

1. Sunset Cruise on the Kathleen D. Departing from Sandy Hook Bay Marina in Highlands this catamaran cruise offers breathtaking views of Sandy Hook Peninsula and a distant view of the Manhattan skyline (www.kathleend.net).
2. Red Bank Wine Walk. Offered every other Sunday thru the end of this month participating restaurants are offering tastings and wine specials (www.redbank.com).
3. Waverunner / Jet Ski Rental. Route 72 Waverunner in Manahawkin has responable rates, and nothing says romance like a high-speed race along LBI (www.route72waverunner.com).

Enjoy!

Boardwalk (Pt. Pleasant)
Mini-golf
Pier Village
Asbury Park has gotten nicer, there are some cool spots to check out for drinks
Blue Claws game
Horseback riding
...so much more....
Check out the hiking trails at Hartshorne Woods Park in Monmouth County. There are some really nice scenic ocean views and nice trails. Fun place to explore.

Marisa,
I work in Wall as well, but It really depends on your interests and what you enjoy doing, but heres a few ideas, Monmouth race track (horse racing) is a lot of fun on weekends, below someone mentioned Blueclaws game (Thirsty Thursday is my favorite! $1 beers and 50 cent wings every Thursday home game), Red Bank for food/drinks/shops (The Downtown, Globe worth checking out at night). Of course not much of a date but lots fun if your into it - Bar A, Boathouse and 507 in Belmar I am always going to. Toms River always has some kind of festival going on, as do most shore towns, my favorite is coming up September 25th..the Pizza, Pasta, and Pastry Festival!....Asbury Park is def worth checking out now Ocean Ave all redone for a more upscale place go to Stella Marina and eat on the roof top deck in the evening or see a band at the Stone Pony...Last one is visiting a Winery, especially as we creep closer the fall there are so many around go for lunch and a wine tasting. One of my favorites I need to plug is called "Laurita Winery" (http://www.lauritawinery.com/) check out the events and go to one.
Hope this helps
