As an avid supporter and season ticket holder for New Jersey Devils, I was wondering who else in the group is a fan, ticket holder, casual hockey fan, current hockey player, etc.

Does anyone want to meet before a game, maybe grab a drink?

The next home game is this Friday, vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning.

I'm all about the Devils -- I go to about half a dozen home games or more per year. It's too tough getting from where I work (Toms River) to the Prudential Center for a 7pm game though, so I'm usually limited to weekend night home games.

And, I only just realized this looking thru their calendar now, the Devils only have two weekend home games left on the schedule this season -- Sunday the 31st against the Kings, and Saturday, March 20th against the Blues.

I'll have to mark both dates down haha.
Hey Andrew, I've really gotten into the Devils the last few years since they've been at Prudential Center. It's a great arena, and I think hockey is the best sport to watch in person as the action is so fast paced. I've been to five games this season, and I know I'll be going 1/22 against Montreal. We can definitely work something out to meet before or after the game.

Great to hear, look forward to seeing you guys @ The Rock!

I will be at the game tomorrow, usually down for warm-ups around 6:30pm in Section 10.

Let's Go Devils!!
Were any of you at the game on Friday (or lack of game, I should say... LOL)?

Pretty crazy!!!!

I love Devils games!!! Always a good time!!!

1-2-3, RANGERS SUCK :-P
Robin... love the end of your post.

Yes I was at that game on Friday.... it's very rare for me to miss a game.

I understand it was out of their control, and I appreciate their efforts to fix the situation, but the lack of communication at the end frustrated me. They took the nets off the ice and the Tampa players that were sitting on the bench went back to their locker room, so you knew something was up, but it still took another 10 minutes before anything was said.

I can imagine it is a tough situation to be in, as this is not a frequent occurence- hockey games being cancelled.

Were you at the game?
How about that game last night, I missed it but caught the OT and shootout portion on the radio. I saw the highlights today, seemed like an epic game, almost 100 shots and all saves. No surprise Brodeur was the star of the night.
That game was one of the best I've seen all year -- I was so stressed out by the end of it! It was like a playoff game. It's just too bad it couldn't end like one. :/

That game set a record, too: For most combined shots in a goal-less game. There were 96 last night (51 Rangers, 45 Devils) -- the previous record was 75!

It's these big games that (A) stand out and show you how amazing a player Brodeur is, and (B) how great our team is! I will be honest, when I saw this line-up going into the season, I was nervous about a playoff birth and look at us... The Devils always find a way to win.
Yeah, the Devils have been written off early in the last few seasons, mainly because we have more of an "ensemble" cast compared to the obvious bunch of stars on other teams.

Our biggest star this season has been Jacques Lemaire though. The man's a genius -- and not nearly as boring as people feared he'd make the Devils.

The game was amazing, and I won ANOTHER bottle of wine for our DEVILS beating the Rangers! (My Ranger fan friend always insists we bet... I always win :-p)

As always,
1-2-3, Rangers suck (Even when the game is close... even when we are playing the Flyers... or Boston... or Canadiens... or ANYONE.... rangers ALWAYS SUCK!!!!)

hahaha.
I love being able to walk into work next day, and my Ranger fan cowkers just walk by, heads down, not wanting to talk. If the tables were reversed, they would have been parked at my desk waiting to gloat.

I too was un-happy with the way Eddie O was favoring Lundqvist during the telecast, but that is par for the course.
Haha! I always love the random Anti-Rangers/Flyers chant during games against, like, Buffalo. "Rangers Suck!! Flyers--" ... well, you know. ;P

What a nice friend to give you such an easy bet for a bottle of wine! Extra points because you got to listen to our Doc Emrick doing the play-by-play in front of a Rangers fan, instead of Sam Rosen. Haha.
