Hi Everyone!

I am running for a cure! On October 25, 2010 I will take to the streets of Dublin Ireland and run the Adidas Dublin Marathon to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  As a member of the Team in Training program I will participate in the Dublin marathon as a symbol of endurance and hope in order to raise funds for blood related cancers.  LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient support.  I am running as both a personal challenge and in honor of two very special people whose lives have been changed because of blood cancers.

I am making this commitment in honor of my cousin David Allgor and Lee Ann Thompson, both diagnosed with a blood related cancer and thankfully both now in remission! Both Dave and Lee Ann will be my motivation as I train to complete this challenging distance.  No matter how hard each mile of the race is, I know that it is not nearly as difficult as the challenges Dave, Lee Ann and others with blood cancer face every day.

Now I am asking you to help me reach my fundraising goal with a contribution to find a cure.  I am committed to raising $5,500.  Contributions are tax deductible and will further The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s program of research and patient aid. Making a donation is simple and only takes a few clicks. Please visit my website to make a contribution.
