Last we we ran a Tall Men Speed Dating event that SOLD OUT and I want to try it again.

Men (5'10" and taller) and Women should take this SURVEY.

***********
Why Tall Men Speed Dating????
I have received more requests to do Tall Men Speed Dating than any other “niche” area.

Why do I think Tall Men Speed Dating is OK????
Have you ever looked twice at a couple where the woman was a lot taller than the man?
Have you decided someone was not attractive just because of their height?
Have you ever done a search on Match.com where you included height minimum and maximum requirements?
If you have done any of these things I’m sure you can understand how there is lots of societal pressure for MEN to be taller than WOMEN in a relationship. How can you blame the women for wanting to fit in in that way?

Oh god forbid, Rohan. I'm 6'4" and my girlfriend is 5'10" -- last thing I'd want is for my kids to wonder where those extra four and a half inches went. :>

This whole argument is moot. One day Kurt Vonnegut's predictions will come true and medical science will make us all 5'11 and 1/2 inches. I can finally play professional basketball.
I just read everyone's postings, lots of good points. I'm actually disappointed I could not attend the last tall guy event. I"m only 6'0" but I would like to meet a girl 5'6"-5'10" barefoot. I know girls work/play in heels, this way it would be a good height adjustment :-) Understand there are also ladies that are over 6'0" that like heels, but I will not shut them down because I have to look up at my date for once! Give everyone a shot, you never know. Sit on a bench in Bryant Park (NYC) or around the Green (Morristown) and see the mixture that walk by!

Laura, let me know if you need help setting up the next Tall Guy event, I'm in!
Laura,

If possible, can you post the results of the original survey, or maybe run a second one? I'd be interested to see if there has been any shift in the data, a year later as the NJYP group has grown.
Tall Men Speed Dating is officially on the calendar! 80 people took the survey, showing me there was enough of interest.

I will, however, only be doing this 1-2 times a year so if you want to participate sign-up now.

next one should be 21-(30 or 35) so us tall youngins may have a shot at a tall man! :o)

and maybe we can have it in mo-town or montclair, instead. hehe.
Interesting that this is open to all women? You might be inviting some unwelcome competition between the women that are < 5'10 and those that are above?
Tall Men Speed Dating?

I'm 5'0" tall...although I have dated men over 6', it's uncomfortable to talk to them standing...the neck starts to hurt. So I don't think I would attend that...although love is love.

However, an event based on bra size, I'd do for fun...I'm a DDD, and yes, I too agree with kelly c, and i will quote her, "Laura, I suggest if you run an event based on bra size that you also require men to provide certain measurements of their own." ;)
I like this one!

JP with the tactful, politically-inoffensive response.. I agree with Tony, it's nice to be 6'1.

How about an event featuring women with big chests and men with big..... wallets?

Perhaps this event should be called "Tall Men _and_ Women" event, not just "Tall Men." Then we vertically challenged folks won't feel slighted.

ps. can we have an athletic type event ... call it as it is, not "healthy living"

I'm just curious, how would "athletic" be defined?
I'm amazed at how many people were discussing this at tonight's event.
