The Social Media Coffeehouse: networking for social media, marketing, and technology professionals in northern NJ
Have you been looking to network with other social media, marketing, and technology professionals without having to drive to NYC?
I'm starting a monthly networking event, the Social Media Coffeehouse, and I'd love to see some fellow NJYPers come out to join me! We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Fine Grind - Downtown (7A Paterson Avenue, Little Falls, NJ). There are directions to the coffee shop and parking information on our About page.
Our first event is Wednesday, June 16th from 6:30PM - 9:00PM. Check out the event page for more details and a link to pre-register on Eventbrite. Advance tickets are $10, and tickets at the door are $15. All tickets come with a free drink.
I've got a couple of NJYP members speaking at the event, so please come cheer them on. If you're interested in speaking or doing a product or website demo at a future event, let me know.

I've got to make sure that I don't fall to the last page of the Forums!
I'm adding one more feature to Wednesday's event. If you're a Foursquare user, we're going to be an official part of "Foursquare Meetup Everywhere". So, in addition to hearing some great speakers, you'll hopefully be able to unlock a Swarm badge!

This sounds awesome. I'd be interested in attending this as social media is a big part of what I've been doing through work, personal use, and now breaking into communications consulting. I'm also definitely interested in speaking opportunities (I teach public speaking, and also do presentation training on the consulting level). Keep me posted. Thanks!

Hi Kevin. I'm an editor for a magazine but I have to deal with social media and marketing all the time (we tend to multi-task at our place since we have no official marketing staff). Do you still have the events going on?

Not sure if I can make the 18th :/ got a meeting in NYC until 5pm and then have to train it home to Edison, then drive back north...maybe I'll drive to Newark and park there that day.
