Hello everyone ! I am currently looking for employment. I have a BA in Journalism, I have experience writing and currently run a nightlife blog where I have been enhancing my writing skills. I have 6+ years working as an administrative assistant and have worked in both corporate and non-corporate environments. I also worked at an eye doctor for 6 years as a part time job. I am currently seeking a full-time or part-time position as a community planner, community/ outreach coordinator or program assistant in government, for profit or non-profit sector. I have a masters degree in Planning which the  1st specialization in Social and Politics Planning and a 2nd specialization in Urban Territorial Planning. Most of my experiences have been working with communities and non-profits. My short-term goal is to obtain my Planner-in- Training certificate and in three years I expect to obtain the AICP and the New Jersey Planner’s Certification as long as I obtain a job that helps me to accumulate the required time to obtain the credentials to be allowed to get the exam.  Plus, I am fluent in three languages and have basic knowledge in a fourth. I'm currently working for LexisNexis in their Web Based Marketing division. I am an inside sales representative tasked with with bringing in new business (law firms) to do their online marketing with us. I handle 13 different states as the team lead of the department. I have a major in Marketing and a minor is Economics from Penn State. I would ideally like to hear opportunities in sales/marketing/advertising in any industry with room to move up the "ladder".

Since starting at LexisNexis I have had 3 different positions within 3 years and each time was a job with more responsibility and importance. At this point there seems to be no further room to grow.

The company I work for, WorldStage, Inc, is currently looking for a candidate experienced in the A/V industry for a position as Service Engineer.

WorldStage Inc., a premiere event technology and presentation company, has an opening for a service engineer in our New Jersey facility. We are seeking a service engineer to test, troubleshoot and repair Pro Audio and Video gear used in the company’s rental department as well as “walk-in” repairs. All work performed under the supervision of the service department manager. Work hours are between 9-5:30 with the occasional off-hours work to accommodate our varied clients.

Hello NJYP,

I am a graduate Couseling intern student looking for a new site placement in the spring semester!!  I would really like to get experience clinically working with children, adolescents and their families in an agency, clinic, hospital, center, or school-based program setting.  As part of the internship requirement, I would need to work with clients individually and in group or family sessions.  I would prefer a placement in Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Hudson counties but very willing to travel a little longer distance to parts of Morris, Somerset and Union counties.  I am approved to work with a supervisor who has at least a MA degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.  If you work in any of these settings (preferably with this population) and can take on an intern for spring semester please contact me!    glasteij@kean.edu
