Paula -- If you're a college graduate, I would contact the career development office there. They usually help alumni for free or low-cost. Otherwise, I also review and create resumes as a side job, so let me know if you need anything.

sorry to hear about your job loss, I was in that boat myself late last year. All I can say is keep yourself motivated with school and whatever work you might pick-up on the side. Business Management sounds like a good degree to get, hopefully the school has some kind of career services/placement for when you finish. Oh and stay active with NJYP as i've found networking with people is the best way to land the better jobs out there.

Wish I could be more of a help, but like I said earlier best to post in the Forum, 10-20 minds is better than one.

Hi Paula, I'm no career coach but the best advice I could give you is to parlay your skillset into a related field, maybe the hospitality Industry. However if you really want a to make a drastic change, nothing beats going back to school and getting some kind of degree/certification, I recommend online classes since they are way more flexible.

Also try posting this question in the Forums (with a bit more detail and background about yourself), as more people will be able to share comments.

Hope this helps

-Drew
