Hi Everyone,

I know I have spoken with a few people who ski/snowboard.  Anyone interested in a day trip or w'end getaway - in Jan or Feb?   For the day, I typically head up to Camelback, or Shawnee.  I have been to Killington (VT) but I'm hesitant to go back.  I still consider myself a fairly novice snowboarder, so Killington was a bit expensive for someone of my skill level.

That said, I am open to all input, ideas, suggestions and/or help in planning.

Holly

Hey Holly!  Sure, I haven't been snowboarding in a couple of seasons and I am itching to get back.  Let me know what the plan is!  Chalk me up!

John - I like Camelback, so I would def go.  And, thanks for the info re: Mt Snow - that is really nice of you to offer.  Define 'couple' people : ).  We can work around your schedule for that one, maybe pick a w'end that works well for you and just plan it.

Jeff - I didn't get to go last season, and only got out a handful of times the few years before that, so I'm right there with you.  I will def keep you (and this post) updated.

Holly, I am excited to finally see someone post about the ski season. I am definitely in for doing any of the ny day trips or being involved in a group weekend get away. I would also recommend a day trip to Elk (in PA) or Wyndham (in NY). I would definitely like to hear more on the MT Snow trip also.

This is so funny I was just about to post myself asking for ski/snowboard buddies to hit the slopes with. I am ready to go anytime anywhere. Killington and Okemo are a lot of fun for a few day trip. I go to Camelback too, but it gets very crowded, I prefer Bellayre NY - longer drive, but hey they let you ski for free on your Birthday ;) Anyhow, count me in.

Anybody wants to go this Saturday the 18th of December?

Hi Tanya -

I've never been to Bellayre, but it's fun to check out new slopes, so I am always open to suggestions.  Ironically, Saturday IS my birthday, but of course there are 100 things going on with holiday parties etc.  Guess I can start planning my ski party for next year : )  Keep me updated, and we will try to get some trips going.

Hi Peter, And, I am glad to see some interest.  I just wanted to get the ball rolling, but I am open to suggestions for places, and hopefully we can coordinate some fun trips.

I am glad to see some immediate interest - I'm always looking for people to hit the slopes with.  I just wanted to get the ball rolling, so feel free to throw out suggestions for places, dates etc.  I will try to keep everyone updated.  If I haven't sent one already - feel free to send me a friend request, and I can send a quick group email out for any spur of the moment, or possible day trips.  Or, if you want to propose a w'end trip - we can even start a new discussion in the forum, specific to that trip.   I look forward to making you all laugh as I fall down and make snow angels to ice my back : )  PS - I've never been snowmobiling, so if any of the w'end trips have an affordable package for that - I'd like to cross if off my "list" this winter.

I am definitely up for all kinds of skiing in January and February.  Like a couple others have said, I was thinking about starting one of these threads myself.

I am down for a weekend trip or just a day trip...a night ski at Mountain Creek may not be a bad idea either.

Here is a thought..  We can always piggy-back on this trip.. Go up for the day or the week-end.  Camelback is not that far.  Have two groups from NJYP go.  As for the dates, I am pretty good to go.  Nothing planned as of yet.

I could do the week-end trips the 22nd and the 29th of January.  Take the lessons again and then hit it up again in Feb.

HI Holly, I love skiiing and like to do all levels of slopes. Hunter Mountain is actually my favorite daytripe destination but Ive skiied Camelback and would love to go to VT again if anyone is interested.

Anyone insterested in hitting a slope on the weekend of January 8-9th?

Keep me posted, Jon

Hi Holly, I would be interested in getting group of people to Hunter Mountain or Windham Mountain both are in New York about 3 hour from the Bridgewater area or I would go to blue Mountain there is very little for people that are black Diamond skiies in PA.

I am soooo Down to riiide say where and when
