Hi Anthony! Occasionally I go to Morristown on the weekends. I need to go more now that the weather is nice. :) We should definitely get together. I love meeting new people. Just let me know when you are free. Have a nice evening.
Hey, I live in Flanders and I work in Florham Park. How do you like Morristown? I would love to live there, but I had a hard time finding a place to rent with dogs. :(
Welcome to NJ! I just moved here in Jan, so I'm a newbie too. I've only been to 1 event so far and it was a lot of fun. You definitely meet a lot of nice people. Maybe I'll see you soon!
oops just saw your comment about Incubus! That's a lot of shows! They sounded very good live but.. I was disappointed they did not interact with the crowd at all during the show I went to. Welcome to Dirty Jerz!! :)
Sure thing. It's the Sundress & Tie Party at the W Hotel in Hoboken on the river. It's a cool, modern bar on the 2nd floor with the outside porch overlooking the Empire State Building. It's from 6-8. You do have to wear a tie or a dress if you prefer. ;) You can sign up under the even section tab or it's more expensive at the door. We are probably going to park in Newport (Jersey City) on Washington Blvd since it is pretty difficult to find parking in Hoboken on a Saturday. Your able to park there on weekends at no cost and it's a pretty walk along the river. Hope to see ya there!
I am 29 and single. I live outside Washington, DC right now and don't take advantage of all the city has to offer because I am not close to metro and its a PITA to get in and out of the city since I don't live there.
Thus, (though the commute to Basking Ridge might suck), I have been looking around Hoboken, Jersey City, Bayonne in order to have access to more nightlife, young single professionals, etc.
I don't know anyone in the area and want to be close to the action (softball leagues, volleyball leagues, flag football, bars, entertainment, etc.)
I have read Morristown might be a good place, what are your thoughts?
If I can have EASY (ie, walking) distance to a train/metro system to get me from XYZ to Hoboken/Jersey City/Manhattan that might work out well.
I have read that taking public transportation to Basking Ridge would not be a great option since I have a car (car would be much faster).
Three Important Things: 1) Good location to meet new people, make new friends, and be able to have fun in my early 30s. 2) Commute convenience (I'll live with 40min or so if its moving traffic) 3) Walk-in closet/storage/ (essentially space, bang for buck)
