Does anyone know of (or want to start) a beginner's golf group in NNJ? I just started this summer and would love to plan get togethers with others who play. You must be OK with a total beginner though!

Morris, Union, or Bergen work for me. However, 9 holes after work would be hard to swing. Weekends work best.

I used to go to pitch and put in Scotch Plains. It's a nice little place to practice. It's been a while but I'd like to get back into golf. Keep me posted on any plans. Weekends are better for me than weeknights.

It's getting to the end of golf season, so I am sure this is probably winding down. But I am up for golfing anytime. I played in High School on my school's golf team and worked at a course for about 9 years. I'm far from being good, but I definitely could give a beginner some pointers. In general though, I just like to play, with anyone. So if you are still playing and/or thinking of doing this again next season, please keep me in the loop.

Hi Edward!
I never had a chance to put anything together this fall. :-( I definitely intend to try again in the spring. Does anyone know of any indoor driving ranges that are open in the winter?

I don't know any indoor ones, but nothing says we can't hit one of the outdoor ones before the weather gets bad. It seems like there is some fair weather happening this week (80's some days). I might be up for meeting up during the week after work or sometime on the weekend.

There's plenty of ranges open during the winter.  I know of at least one or two that are on Route 22.  And if you think it's the end of the season, you're missing out.  Especially since most people don't want to deal with weather in the 50's and 60's, the courses will be open and you can move as slow or as fast as you want.

Inbox me if anyone here is still interested......

I guess I think "end of the season" because I'm originally from Michigan. Haha. The courses there close in October so the frost doesn't kill the greens.

BUMP

I think with the nice, warm weather it's time to revive this thread and get it going.

Any interested beginners?
