Hi everyone-

I know it's early, but because people's calendars get booked quickly, I wanted to let you know about art after hours on the first Wednesday of every month at the Zimmerli Museum in New Brunswick. That means live music, art, and (food?)- if anyone's ever been to First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum- it's similar, I've heard.

The next one's coming up on Sept. 1. Starts at 6, but we don't have to meet exactly at that time, especially since some people might not get out of work. I'd like to get a group together for this.

I would love to come
This sounds like fun!
Keep me posted on the details!
I've been in the past, and while I won't be able to make it this time, I encourage others to go. If you haven't been to the Zimmerli (a lot of non-Rutgers, and even Rutgers folks haven't), definitely take advantage of the event.
I've been to a few concerts at the Zimmerli, but haven't gone to one of their First Wednesdays yet. I'd probably be up for this.
Great! Glad to see people are interested- it's hard to find people for the art events. ;-)
I'm not an art person, but i think it might be worth it to check it out.
Hey- just wanted to know if anyone's up for this on Wednesday.
Hi Salma,

I don't think i'll be able to make it. I'm currently sick and i'm not sure if i'll be better by Wednesday. Keep me posted on future events though.

Thanks,

-Ryan-
Yeah. I should be good for this. Depending on work and traffic, I might be fashionably late.
Hope you feel better, Ryan- maybe you can make it to the next one!

I know timing might be a problem, because of work and traffic- maybe we can say 7, for anyone who wants to come?
I didnt see anything on the website about this, are we sure its happening this week?
Hi Jessica-

Yes, I'd seen that too, so I called the museum before posting to ask. Apparently the museum is closed for August, but the woman who answered the phone said that it reopens Sept. 1 (Wed), and that, yes, the event would happen. I will call again today to double check.

I only live 10 mins from NB, but for anyone driving a long way, I completely understand if you want to wait until October to go to the next one (when their site will be operating properly again).
