New Jersey Young Business Owners: Morristown will be hosting an “Open House” with the goal of creating a peer-to-peer networking group.

The NJYBO Morristown chapter will ultimately have 8-12 Members and will be open to both established owners and those just starting out. The same group of business owners will meet each month to exchange ideas, goals, challenges, and resources in a confidential setting. There will only be one member per profession in a local group, so there is no competition – just collaboration.

Who Can Attend This Open House:

• Professionals who are 21 to 39 years old.
• Established owners or those just about to launch their business.
• Please, NO direct sales, MLM or licensed professionals such as realtors or financial advisors.

Cost:

• The initial meeting has no cost and will serve as an Open House where NJYP staff will informally “interview” those who wish to join the group.
• Those invited to join the yearly group will pay a membership fee of $120 per year plus the cost of food at the meeting.
• At each meeting the group will order off the restaurant’s menu and will receive separate checks. There is a 1 item minimum per person.

Commitment If You Join NJYBO:
The Morristown group will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the same location. Each member must attend 10 out of the 12 meetings or risk losing his/her spot in the group. Refunds will not be granted to those who forfeit their membership.

NJYBO Meeting Format:
Each month the members will bring two questions to the meeting to pose to the group.  In a round robin fashion, a member will ask his/her question and everyone who has input will help find a solution/resource in response.
At the end of each meeting, each member will state an accountability goal that he/she wishes to accomplish by the next meeting.

Meeting Leaders:
Each member will take a turn “leading” the meeting.
The leader will keep the meeting moving and will also record the accountability goals. The leader will be responsible for printing a one page meeting summary that will be handed out at the start of the meeting. (NJYP will provide the document that needs to be printed).
